I’m Robin Lewis Kane of Table Talk–a blog about the concerns of busy parents everywhere who are interested in learning more about the latest in nutrition news and who are looking for ways to put delicious, healthy food on the table without breaking the bank…
You have every right to be concerned about your family. We are in the midst of an health epidemic–with two-thirds of adults and a third of children overweight and obese. It’s headline news… We can blame technology, and we can point the finger at the food industry or the advertisers, but only we can take control of what our families eat.
We have the power to help our children develop the healthy habits and values that will last a lifetime.
I’m the mother of Sam, a handsome and well rounded eater (for a teenager) and I’m married to Jim, a self avowed “meat man”, who has learned to love vegetables and maybe even sweet potatoes. We live in a small, rural community in Northern California and grow some of our own vegetables and lots of wine grapes.
Being seriously middle-aged, I decided that the time was ripe to choose a new path in life–one that would pair my experience and success as a teacher with my passion for food and nutrition.
